FAQ

Online Classes: Information and Frequently Asked Questions

How do I register for an online class?

You can register for my online classes in two ways; either through one of the hosts (Bead shops or bead society organizations) or through me directly via this website. Under each class on my Upcoming Classes page follow the directions and link next to the Class Fee, Registration and Kit Pricing: section of each class.

For the classes which I'm offering, after you complete your purchase, you will receive an email(s) which will include:

  1. Kit color options
  2. Your Join Zoom Meeting link
  3. All the information that you'll need to attend

You'll receive a printed copy of the project instructions (not a PDF) in your kit shipment.

NOTE: A kit purchase is required to participate in my classes.

What do I need to join Zoom class?

You will need a device, such as a laptop or desktop computer, an iPad, an iPhone, or an Android device which has audio and camera capability. Keep in mind that you'll be able to see the class more clearly on a larger screen.

How do I access the Zoom class?

The app is free and you don't need a Zoom account to access the class. There are lots of tutorials on YouTube on how to use Zoom, and how you can download the Zoom app.

All my online classes take place via Zoom. When you register for a class, you will receive an email containing a link to join Zoom Meeting. All you need to do is click the link in the email at the assigned class meeting time and you will either be transferred to the Zoom app or to the page where you can download the Zoom app.

What if I can't attend the class?

It is your responsibility to attend the class at the scheduled time. Unfortunately, once the kit (materials + instructions) has been sent out, refunds or swapping to a different class is not possible.

However, if places are available for the same class on another date a transfer may be possible.

Do I see you and your work?

I have a camera facing me and a separate camera to show detailed beadwork. I switch back and forth between these cameras during class. I am demonstrating the bead work for each project so you can see exactly how I stitch everything together.

How do I show you my work?

Depending on your device, I may be able to review your work if you simply hold it up to your computer's webcam. Or I may ask you to take a photo of your work and email it to me.

Do you record the class?

For the privacy of all students, I don't allow recordings of my Zoom classes.
